A family sign business, now in Cork.

Wafa Signs Ireland is Roeen Wafa and his son Shahab. Between them they draw, cut, build, wire and fit every sign that leaves the workshop in Ballinora.

It started in Afghanistan

Roeen built his trade making signs for shops and businesses in Afghanistan, beginning in 1993. Over more than two decades that meant every part of the job: drawing it, making it and putting it up. The work grew to include 3D lettering for an international airport terminal and channel letters for Sony outlets.

Two generations, one standard

Shahab works alongside his father on every job, from the first drawing to the final fixing. Because the same two people make and fit the sign, nothing is lost between the drawing and the wall.

Now making signs in Ballinora

The same trade now runs from our own workshop and machinery just outside Cork city. Our signs are already up on shopfronts across Cork, including Phonetastic, Dixy Chicken, Speedo, Sky Smoke 1 and Smoke City, and we install anywhere in Ireland.
